King Strategies Consulting is committed to ensuring that our website (www.kingstrategiesconsulting.com) is accessible to all users, including people with disability. We believe that everyone has the right to access information and services, and we strive to remove barriers that may prevent people from fully engaging with our content.

This commitment is consistent with our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) (DDA), which prohibits discrimination against people with disability in the provision of goods and services, including via online channels. The Australian Human Rights Commission has indicated that websites and online services fall within the scope of the DDA.

 

2. Accessibility Standard We Aim to Meet

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the benchmark referenced by the Australian Government's Digital Service Standard and is widely accepted as the appropriate standard for accessible web content.

WCAG 2.1 is organised around four core principles. Accessible content must be:

  • Perceivable — information and interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive

  • Operable — interface components and navigation must be operable

  • Understandable — information and the operation of the interface must be understandable

  • Robust — content must be robust enough to be reliably interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies

 

3. Current Accessibility Status

Our website is built on the Wix platform, which provides a range of built-in accessibility features. We have taken steps within the Wix environment to improve accessibility, including:

  • Using clear, plain-English content written in Australian English

  • Structuring content with logical headings and sections

  • Providing descriptive text for key images where possible

  • Ensuring colour contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements where within our control

  • Keeping navigation simple and consistent across the site

We acknowledge that, as a website built on a third-party platform (Wix), some accessibility features are dependent on the capabilities of that platform. Wix is committed to accessibility and has published its own Accessibility Statement at https://www.wix.com/accessibility.

We have not yet conducted a formal independent accessibility audit of our website. We intend to undertake a review and will update this statement to reflect the outcome of that review.

 

4. Known Limitations

While we work towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we are aware of the following potential limitations:

  • Some third-party content embedded in our site, including Google Forms, may have accessibility constraints outside of our direct control. Google LLC publishes accessibility information for its products at https://support.google.com/accessibility.

  • Certain visual elements on the Wix platform may not be fully customisable for accessibility purposes. We continue to explore improvements within the constraints of the platform.

  • PDF or document downloads, if provided, may not always be fully accessible. We will work to improve the accessibility of downloadable content on request.

 

5. Compatibility with Assistive Technologies

We aim to ensure our website is compatible with commonly used assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver)

  • Keyboard-only navigation

  • Browser zoom and text resizing functions

  • High contrast display modes
